Michael Francis "Mike" Teti (born September 20, 1956) is an American rower. Born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, he attended Monsignor Bonner High School and is a 1978 graduate of St. Joseph's University. Currently the head coach of men's crew at the University of California, Berkeley, he is a twelve-time U.S. national team member, three-time Olympian (including a bronze medal at the 1988 Olympics), and a member of the world champion men's eight in 1987.

In addition to Cal, his coaching experience includes positions at Temple University, coach of the freshman squad at Princeton University, the U.S. national team, and in 2004 he coached the U.S. Men's Olympic M8+ to a gold medal.

In April 2016, Teti was involved in a sexual assault claim while head coach of men's crew at the University of California, Berkeley.

Sexual Assault Allegations

An investigation was initiated after Sexual Assault allegations against a member of the Cal men's rowing team in April 2016. The alleged victim claims Teti knew she had been sexually assaulted in December 2013 and when she reported the incident to Teti, he told her to stop crying, saying "You're no angel anyway" and asked her about her sexual relationships with other rowers. Teti responded back suggesting these allegations are completely false and I'm confident any investigation will prove this. The investigation is ongoing.[1]
