Mike Ward (TV director)

Mike Ward is a British television director and producer who specialises in live programming.[1] His credits include the 1992 and 1996 Paralympics (both for the BBC), the Moscow and Seoul Olympics (for ITV) and a variety of specialist shows including Challenge Anneka (BBC), The Prudential Awards for the Arts (Channel 4), Midweek Sports Special (ITV) Beauty and the Beast special (Disney/Barnum and Bailey), the weddings of The Prince of Wales (to Lady Diana Spender) and The Prince Andrew (to Sarah Ferguson; both ITN), the India and Pakistan Cricket World Cup opening ceremony (Grand Slam for broadcasters worldwide), The South African Cricket World Cup (Sony Entertainment, India).

Mike Ward was Executive Editor BBC Events with responsibility for the wedding of Prince Edward (to Sophie Rhys-Jones), World’s Strongest Man, and the Crufts dog show.

He is married and lives in Sussex.
