MindMup is a mind mapping application written primarily in JavaScript and designed to run in HTML5 browsers. MindMup is released under an MIT-like license with a non-compete clause that restricts use,[1] which makes it non-free software. The source code is available from GitHub.[2]
MindMup has been praised for its simple and intuitive interface and short learning curve [3] and power-user features.[4] It has been recommended for the use in education, in particular due to anonymous access and not requiring account signup to use cloud services.[5][6]
