Mini Friday was a small research project on virtual community in mobile phones, which is created by Sulake in late 2006. Throughout its existence it was only available on S60 2nd & 3rd edition Nokia phones. Sulake created the project in early December, 2006. Led by Aapo, the small-scaled project consisted of 5 rooms where users can talk to other members and system controlled characters. Each user created an avatar – a virtual representation of them-self and used commands such as ":go" to move between rooms. Notably, there was no moderation on the game.
Mini Friday closed on September 30, 2010. Sulake moved focus to their other mobile game, Bobba Bar.[1]
