The Mirax-Plaza Ukraine (Ukrainian: Міракс-плаза Україна) is an unfinished building in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. It is located in the central Podilskyi district (municipal address: 43, Glybochytska St.). If completed, it would surpass the Parus Business Centre (156 m or 516 ft) to become the tallest building in Ukraine. The project suggests class-A office space, as well as retail and residential space.[1]

History

Construction on the building began on December 22, 2006, and was initially expected to end in 2010.[4] Due to the financial crisis of 2007-2009, the construction was put on hold. In May 2009 it was reported that Mirax Group had been in negotiations with the Russian AEON Corporation to sell the project.[5] Some six months later, AEON Corporation acquired the share in the project and announced plans to correct the existing concept and commence construction in the autumn of 2010. By February 2010, 11 floors of the building had been constructed.[6]

Since then, there have been no attempts to renew construction or announcements of such attempts.
