Mount Suess

Mount Suess (77°2′S 161°42′E / 77.033°S 161.700°E / -77.033; 161.700Coordinates: 77°2′S 161°42′E / 77.033°S 161.700°E / -77.033; 161.700) is a conspicuous mountain (1,190 m) surmounting the south part of Gondola Ridge, near the south side of Mackay Glacier in Victoria Land. Discovered by the British Antarctic Expedition (1907–09) and named for Eduard Suess, Austrian geologist and paleontologist.
