Mr. Money Mustache is the website and pseudonym of Canadian-born blogger Peter Adeney.[1] Adeney writes about personal finance and frugal living, describing himself as enjoying "a frugal yet Badass life of leisure". Adeney regards prevalent spending habits as being centered on living "ridiculously expensive lifestyles while thinking they were completely normal, and then being baffled when they had no money left over to buy their own freedom. All while being so busy that they didn’t even have time to understand the science behind why this behavior is trashing the very home that makes our lives even possible."[2] The website includes an internet forum for discussion of personal finance matters outside of blog comment threads.
The blog has been featured and cited in various media outlets including Market Watch, [3] [4] CBS News.[5] and The New Yorker.[1]
