The Mudflats is a predominantly politically liberal American political weblog based in Anchorage, Alaska. It rose to national prominence as an early website to have meaningful background information about Sarah Palin after her nomination for Vice President in August 2008. It was created by Jeanne Devon, a writer for The Huffington Post.
History
A post on the day Sarah Palin was nominated was widely linked, with a resulting abrupt increase in worldwide popularity.[1] The site moved to a larger and more flexible site a few months later.
Despite the author's attempt to remain anonymous, referring to herself only as "AK Muckraker" ("AK" for "Alaska"), a politician she had criticized made her identity public in March 2009.[1]
Blind Allegiance
Jeanne Devon and Ken Morris coathored a book with Frank Bailey, "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin: A Memoir of Our Tumultuous Years", which was published in May 2011.
