Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao (Telugu: నల్లమోతు భాస్కర్ రావు, born 18 March 1953) is an Indian politician affiliated with the Indian National Congress. He is a native of Shakapuram village, Nidamanoor Mandal of Nalgonda District.[1]
Early life
Nallamothu. Bhaskar Rao was born to Nallamothu. Venkata Ramaiah and Lakshmi Kanthamma. Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao completed the Bachelor of Science from SR & BGNR College, Khammam.
Telangana Movement
Active participant in first ever Telangana Movement in the year 1969 as General Secretary of Students Union, SR & BGNR College, Khammam. Faced almost 16 cases while he participated in the movement and was legally confined to stay at Nelakondapalli village jurisdiction for six (6) months. Worked as a member in Osmania University Students Union along with Late Sri Mallikarjun.
Political career
- Former Chairman – Agricultural Market Committee Nidamamoor, Nalgonda Dist.
- He is a close associate of Kunduru Jana Reddy for 35 years and played a key role in his every victory along with crucial role from 1989 onwards in Miryalaguda and Nalgonda Parliament Elections along with B.N. Reddy, S. Jaipal Reddy and G. Sukender Reddy.
- He is well respected and considered to be a very good Political Strategist in Nalgonda district with strong connections with grass-root level party workers.
- He also spearheaded Local Body Elections(Municipal & Panchayath Raj) and was very vital in winning the Miryalguda Municipal Council Elections from 2005 onwards. He also ensured Miryalaguda Municipal Elections became one sided by winning 33 out of 36 wards in 2014 Elections which is record in the state of Telangana.
- He won as a Congress M.L.A. Candidate for 88 - Miryalguda Constituency from the Telangana Region for Legislative Assembly Elections[2]
Philanthropy Work
- All through his life, he has been promoting Education by providing financial aid to deserving students for higher studies such as Medical & Engineering (IIT, BITS). Also provides financial and moral support to the people who are in dire need of medical care.
Personal Life and Family
Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao is married to Jaya. They have two sons. First son, Nallamothu Chaitanya, holds an office as Director of Engineering Operations in Automotive Robotics Inc. U.S.A, His second son, Nallamothu Siddhardha, holds an office of Vice President for a Multi-national Financial Institution Pune.
