Nazipur Govt. College is a public college in Nazipur Naogaon, Bangladesh. It offers the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC). The current principal is Prof. Md. Samsul Hoque and is headed by Md. Moez Uddin.[2]


History

In 1979, this college was established as Nazipur Mahaviddalaya, headed by Md. Moez Uddin. Nazipur Govt. College began its academic activities temporarily at Nazipur High School, as it had no land of its own. Later, a parcel of land was purchased and another parcel was donated by Mojir Uddin. In 1977, the college moved to its own building, which was constructed with the help of DDB Rajshahi. The institution was granted on 6 April 1984, and gradually it was developed into a college offering degrees. Being nationalised on 8 December 1984, this college appeared as a government educational institution from 1 January 1985.[3]

Library

The Library of Nazipur Govt. college was established in 1980, the same year the library was established. There are around 30,000 books, very well furnished alphabetically.
