The Nellore Area Development Authority (NUDA) is a urban planning agency spread over the districts of Nellore and Chittoor of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[1][2] It was constituted on 1 February 2016, under Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authority Act, 2016 with the headquarters located at Nellore.[3]

Jurisdiction

The jurisdictional area of NUDA is spread over an area of 144.17 km2 (55.66 sq mi) and it covers 156 villages in 21 mandals of Nellore and Chittoor districts. Of these, 19 mandals are from Nellore district with 145 villages and the remaining two mandals are from Chittoor district with 11 villages. Nellore is the only corporation and four other municipalities viz., Kavali, Gudur, Sullurupeta and Naidupeta are also a part of NUDA.[1]
