New Hadley Halt railway station

New Hadley Halt was a minor station between Oakengates and Wellington on the former Great Western Railway's London (Paddington) to Birkenhead via Birmingham (Snow Hill) line. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1934.[1] On 13 May 1985, British Rail announced that it would close, due to uneconomic required repairs.[2] The station closed on 12 May 1986 and it was demolished in 1986. The closure of the station coincided with the opening of a new station called Telford Central which had opened the previous day. Its grid reference was SJ 681 115.
