Newshour is a rolling international news and sport programme airing on Al Jazeera English. It is Al Jazeera English's main news program. It is mainly shown in one-hour blocks but is also shown in 30 minute blocks. It broadcasts from both of Al Jazeera's broadcast centres, Doha and London, sometimes linked together live. Newshour was also shown live on Al Jazeera America during its time in existence in the morning, midday hours, at 6pm eastern and will be cut in during a large international breaking news story. In 2006, Newshour was the first English language news program to be broadcast from the middle east. All news broadcasts are live.
