Newton Vineyard is a wine estate in St. Helena in the Napa Valley of California.
Description
Newton Vineyard was the second wine estate established by Peter and Su Hua Newton. Their first (Sterling Vineyards) was sold to soft drinks giant Coca-Cola in the 1970s. Newton Vineyards's majority stake was sold to frecnj conglomerate LVMH in 2001.[1]
Newton Vineyard is still operated by the Newton family though overseeing control rests with the Wines and Spirits division of LVMH.
Wines
Newton is most famous for its Newton Unfiltered Chardonnay. It is one of the "World's Greatest Wine Estates" per Robert Parker.[2] Parker gave the 2005 Unfiltered Chardonnay 96 points on his 100-point scale.[3]
