Newton with Scales is a village in the county of Lancashire and in the Borough of Fylde. It is situated on the A583 road, 5 miles (8 km) from Preston and 11 miles (18 km) from Blackpool, in the civil parish of Newton with Clifton. It has a park and a shop. In 2003 it was the 'village of the year'. It has a pub called the 'Bell and Bottle' and has a local Primary school called 'Newton bluecoats'. The shop is called 'The Convenience Store' and is situated on Bryning lane.
