One Indian Girl is the seventh fictional novel and the ninth overall novel written by the Indian author Chetan Bhagat.[1]

Plot

One Indian Girl is the story of Radhika Mehta, a worker at the Distressed Debt group of Goldman Sachs, an investment bank. While in Goa for arranged marriage with Brijesh Gulati, she is contacted by two of her ex-boyfriends, Debashish and Neel, both asking her to elope with them, respectively. Radhika must choose between the 3 of them and must come to terms with her past in New York and Hong Kong, while also maintaining her good, nerdy girl persona for her family's image.

Reception

One Indian Girl has received mixed to postive reviews from critics. It has received 3.1 stars out of 5 on Goodreads and 4.3 out of 5 on Snapdeal. The topic of feminism has gathered some controversy. The Indian Express calls the book "a likeable handbook for feminists". Most sources describe the book as "an improvement over Half Girlfriend".[2]
