The Order of Service Merit (Hangul: 근정훈장, Hanja: 勤政勳章) is an order of merit of South Korea (the Republic of Korea). It is awarded to public officials, private school teachers, and special post office employees who have rendered outstanding and meritorious service in the execution of their duties.[1]
Grades
The Order of Service Merit is divided into 5 classes. The grades are as follows:[2]
- Blue Stripes: 청 조 (靑 條)
- Yellow Stripes: 황 조 (黃 條)
- Red Stripes: 홍 조 (紅 條)
- Green Stripes: 옥 조 (綠 條)
- Aquamarine Stripes: 노력장 (玉 條)
