Owen Fegan

Owen Fegan (born November 1, 1972) is a successful New York-based Creative & Marketing Director, Photographer, and Musician. Born in Cork, Ireland, he is a founding member of Irish rock band Rubyhorse, formed in 1987 with schoolmates Dave Farrell, Decky Lucey, Joe Philpott, and Gordon Ashe.[1] Upon the band's move from Cork, Ireland to Boston, Massachusetts in 1997, the band signed to Los Angeles based label, Interscope Records.[2]

After a musical career which saw two major-label recording contracts (Interscope Records and Island Records), a single ("Sparkle") which peaked at #21 on the Billboard charts in the summer of 2002,[3] a collaboration with George Harrison on the track "Punchdrunk",[4] appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman,[5] Late Night with Conan O'Brien,[6] Good Morning America,[7] as well as international tours, sharing stages with artists as including R.E.M.,[8] INXS,[9] and Def Leppard,[8] Fegan finally left Rubyhorse behind,[10] and moved to New York City to pursue a solo musical career, and indulge his lifelong passions of art and photography.

His photography has appeared in major commercial campaigns, as well as magazines such as SPIN, Rolling Stone, Blender, High Times, as well as Tom Petty's Runnin' Down A Dream biography[11] alongside Mark Seliger, Annie Leibovitz, and Danny Clinch (who shot Rubyhorse's Rise album cover).[12]

Soon after his move to New York city, Fegan joined 'SPIN Magazine as Creative Director,[13] and has held the title at Rolling Stone magazine,[13] New York Magazine.,,[14] Grooveshark, and yext

Fegan currently resides in New York city where he is working on a solo musical project called "VEMO".
