Patrick Hagan (1880 – 14 July 1916) was a Scottish professional football forward who played in the Scottish League for Hibernian and Port Glasgow Athletic.[2][3][4][5] He won five pieces of silverware with Irish League club Linfield between 1903 and 1904.[6]
Personal life
Hagan served in the Boer War with the British Army.[7] He was a sergeant in the 11th Battalion Royal Scots during the First World War and was killed,[8] aged 36,[7] on 14 July 1916 during the Battle of the Somme.[9] He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Pier and Face 6D and 7D.[1]
