Paul E. Shepherd (born December 21, 1942 in Boise, Idaho)[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2004 representing District 8 in the B seat.[2]
Education
Shepherd graduated from Boise High School and attended Boise Junior College (later accredited as Boise State University).
Elections
- 2012 Redistricted to 7B, Shepherd was unopposed for the May 15, 2012, Republican primary, winning with 4,942 votes,[3] facing Democratic nominee Nancy Lerandeau, who was appointed June 12 to replace James Paradiso after his uncontested primary nomination and May 31, 2012 withdrawal.
- 2004 Unopposed for the May 25, 2004, Republican primary, Shepherd won with 5,321 votes[4] and won the November 2, 2004, general election with 8,762 votes (50.2%), just 64 votes more than incumbent Democratic Representative Charles D. Cuddy.[5]
- 2006 Unopposed for the May 23, 2006, Republican primary, Shepherd won with 4,103 votes[6] and won the November 7, 2006, general election with 8,603 votes (61.39%) against Charlene Douglas (D).[7]
- 2008 Unopposed for the May 27, 2008, Republican primary, Shepherd won with 4,286 votes[8] and won the November 4, 2008, general election with 10,979 votes (58.9%) against Jim Rehder (D).[9]
- 2010 Unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, Shepherd won with 5,110 votes[10] and won the November 2, 2010, general election with 10,016 votes (70.2%) against Jerry Lockhart (D).[11]
