Peggy Gram

Peggy Gram, née Barnes, is a world-champion women's Barbershop music singer, leader of Sweet Adelines International (SAI) and chief deputy to Arkansas politician Charlie Daniels.

Gram was awarded the SAI lifetime achievement award in 2010 for her long association with the organisation including being its international president, achieving "master director" status and certified competition judge.[1] She has twice won the SAI International quartet championship - with "Ginger 'n' Jazz" (1987) and "Rumors" (1999).[2] At the age of 22, Gram became the director of the SAI-affiliated Top of the Rock chorus in 1972, and remains co-director.[3][4]

Gram has worked for the State of Arkansas for over 30 years.[5] She was chief deputy for Daniels while he was Secretary of State of Arkansas[1] and maintains the same role in his current position as Arkansas State Auditor.[6] She has been chair of the board of the Information Network of Arkansas.[7]

Gram lives in Little Rock, Arkansas and has two daughters, Kerri and Kristen.[1] She has a Bachelor's degree in English Education from the University of Arkansas.[5]
