Pergine Valdarno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Arezzo in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southeast of Florence and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) west of Arezzo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,157 and an area of 46.6 square kilometres (18.0 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Pergine Valdarno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Montalto, Ponticino, Poggio Bagnoli, and Pieve a Presciano.
Pergine Valdarno borders the following municipalities: Bucine, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Laterina, Montevarchi, Terranuova Bracciolini.
