Peters, Fraser & Dunlop

Peters Fraser and Dunlop (PFD) is a talent and literary agency based in London, England. One of the oldest agencies in Britain, and a co-founder of the Association of Authors' Agents, it is home to a distinguished and varied client list, including Jeanette Winterson, Ruby Wax, Steve Peters, Helen Rappaport, Simon Schama, William Hague, Sarah Raven, Twiggy, Sir Max Hastings, Chris Patten, Bear Grylls, Valentine Warner, Philip Norman and such estates as V.S. Pritchett, E.M. Forster, Georges Simenon, Margery Allingham C.S. Forester, Robert Bolt, Edmund Crispin and Storm Jameson.[1]

PFD was created when the A. D. Peters Agency merged with the Fraser and Dunlop Agency in 1989. Previously, the two agencies had been leaders in their fields with A. D. Peters being one of the most distinguished literary agents in the world, whilst Fraser and Dunlop was one of the most respected agencies working with talent from the film, TV and theatre industries. The merger created a formidable agency and it went on to represent some of the most famous actors, writers and directors of the nineties, including Richard Curtis, Nick Hornby and Kate Winslet.

In 1999, the agents at PFD sold the company to CSS Stellar. In 2007 many of these agents left to form United Agents. In 2008, PFD was bought from CSS Stellar by a consortium led by Andrew Neil. A settlement was reached with United Agents on all issues, and this allowed both agencies to focus on serving their clients and developing their respective businesses.

The Rights House was formed in 2010, bringing together Peters Fraser and Dunlop, with the talent agency MF Management. Rights House Talent, formerly MF Management, represented leading actors and presenters in film, television and theatre and handled public speaking for all clients.

In 2014, Peters Fraser & Dunlop acquired a majority share in Pollinger Ltd.

Today Peters Fraser + Dunlop, with a literary history dating from 1924, continues to work with and represent writers, journalists, broadcasters, speakers and estates from around the world across all platforms from its offices in Covent Garden.

PFD's literary agents are Caroline Michel, Michael Sissons and Fiona Petheram, Annabel Merullo, Jonathan Sissons, Tim Bates, Nelle Andrew, Camilla Shestopal, Adam Gauntlett, Laura Williams, Alexandra Cliff, Marilia Savvides, Silvia Molteni and Rebecca Wearmouth. Its international rights team is headed by Alexandra Cliff, Film and TV is headed by Jonathan Sissons and its broadcast agents are James Carroll and Jon Fowler.
