The Philippines competed at the 2011 Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, China. This was the third time that the Philippines took part in the Universiade, first was in 2003 Summer Universiade in Daeju, in 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok and in 2011 Summer Universiade in Shenzhen. The Philippines participated in 9 sports discipline: swimming, men’s basketball, table tennis, badminton, chess, archery, beach volleyball and athletics.[1]
