Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District
The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) is a public school district that serves Placentia, Yorba Linda, and parts of Anaheim, Brea, and Fullerton located in Orange County, California. The school district covers 45 square miles (120 km2) and employs 2,500 people. Its student enrollment is approximately 26,000, with 22 elementary, 6 middle, 5 high schools and 2 home schools. The Superintendent is Dr. Greg Plutko, Ed.D., and the Board of Education includes Carrie Buck, Judi Carmona, Carol Downey, Karin Freeman, and Eric Padget.

The mission of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, as defined by its strategic plan titled "The Advantage," is: "We hold high expectations for all students through rigorous and relevant educational experiences that challenge them to become responsible, ethical, and engaged citizens."
