Pozzomaggiore (Sardinian: Puthumajore) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) northwest of Cagliari and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Sassari. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,871 and an area of 79.4 square kilometres (30.7 sq mi).[1]
Pozzomaggiore borders the following municipalities: Bosa, Cossoine, Mara, Padria, Semestene, Sindia, and Suni.
