Pumani (Aymara puma cougar, puma,[2] -ni a suffix to indicate ownership, "the one with a puma", hispanicized spelling Pomani) is a mountain in the Andes of southern Peru, about 5,300 metres (17,388 ft) high. It is situated in the Moquegua Region, Mariscal Nieto Province, Torata District. Pumani lies south-west of the volcano Tutupaka and north-west of the mountain Chuqi Ananta. The Asana River originates near the mountain.[1]
