Ranee Campen (Thai: ราณี แคมเปน; nickname: Bella) is a Thai/British actress. Her notable role includes Porn Prom Onlaweng, Khun Chai Puttipat, and Plerng Chimplee TV series on Thailand's Channel 3.

Early life

Bella was born on 24 December 1989 (Buddhist calendar 2532). Her British father and Thai mother named their only child "Bella" after her great grandmother.[1]

Education

Bella finished secondary school from Sarawithaya School.[2] She graduated from Thammasat University with a bachelor's degree of Journalism and Mass Communication, and she's now pursuing her master's degree in the same university.[3][4]

Acting career

Bella started her entertainment career as model in advertisements. After about 10 advertisement work, she then signed contract with Channel 3 (Thailand) and became an actress with Channel 3 since 2011.[1][2] Bella got her first leading role and first nomination for Porn Prom Onlaweng,[5] in 2013, which has 5th highest ratings point among all primetime dramas shown on Channel 3 during that year.[6] After Khun Chai Puttipat[7] was on air, it became the most frequently searched drama on google in Thailand[8] and ranked 4th in 2013 primetime drama ratings point comparison.[6] Moreover, because of their vivid romantic scenses in the drama, Bella and Jirayu Tangsrisuk (James J) won "Fantasy Couple of the Year" at Kerd Award 2.0.[1] In the same year, Bella played her second role as an elegant gentle lady in a prize-winning historical period drama, Look Tard.[9] Ever since then, bella made her name as an actress, especially for period dramas. She portrayed "Nuernang", an accomplished tradition dancer in drama Plerng Chimplee.[10]
