Rasboroides nigromaculatus is a species of freshwater cyprinid fish endemic to Sri Lanka where only known from small, shaded streams in the Atweltota region of the Kalu River basin.[1] It can also be found in the aquarium trade.[2]

Until 2013, it was thought to be a synonym of the species Rasboroides vaterifloris, but now accepted as a separate species.[3]
