Razee plane
A razee plane is a type of wooden bodied woodworking plane which is cut away in height toward its rear. The handle is placed just behind the point where the plane body is lowered, thus putting the user's hand, and the thrust, closer to the wood. The description is apparently derived from the razee ship conversion, in which the ship is cut down to remove some of the upperworks.
