Reginaldo Rodrigues dos Santos (14 February 1944 – 20 December 2013), better known by his stage name Reginaldo Rossi, was a Brazilian musician and singer-songwriter. He was known as the "King of Brega" (Portuguese: "Rei do brega").[1]

Cancer and death
On 9 November 2013, he went through a surgical procedure called thoracentesis removing 2 liters of accumulated fluids between the pleura and the lung.[2] The biopsy revealed on the 11th of the same month the confirmation of lung cancer. Reginaldo Rossi died on 20 December 2013, aged 69, in his hometown of Recife, Pernambuco.[3]
