Ridiculousness is an American comedy clip show that began airing on August 29, 2011. It is hosted by Rob Dyrdek and co-hosted by Sterling "Steelo" Brim and Chanel West Coast. Ridiculousness shows various viral videos from the Internet, usually involving failed do-it-yourself attempts at stunts, to which Rob and his panelists add mock commentary. Although the format bears some similarity to viewer-submission driven shows such as America's Funniest Home Videos, Ridiculousness producers, as well as the show's network, MTV, do not accept viewer submissions and air a disclaimer before and after each episode warning that, because of the dangerous nature of the stunts being shown, any attempts to submit a video to the show will be discarded sight unseen.
Production
On September 10, 2012, Ridiculousness was renewed for a twenty episode third season.[1][2] It premiered on February 14, 2013,[3] and included a crossover with Jersey Shore when Pauly D guest-starred. The season would later go into hiatus in April 2013 and return on July 18, 2013.[4] Season 3 averaged a 1.6 P12-34 rating and is the No.1 original cable series in its time slot with P12-34.[5]
The seventh season premiered on October 8, 2015.[6]
As of October 2015, some episodes of Ridiculousness have been repackaged to replace the show's theme with a production equivalent track as well as omitting any other well known songs used while showing the clips.

Ending Segment: Unlike previous seasons, the ending segment varied between each episode in Season 7. The most common segments are Flash Forward, where Rob would play two clips in the style of "before and after," and Not What It Looks/Sounds Like, where Rob would play a questionable sound or video clip, only to have it become something totally unexpected. Later episodes in the season omitted the ending segment as well.

Critical reception
Ridiculousness has been met with mixed to positive reviews from critics and receives an average rating of 7.3 on TV.com [136] It also has a rating of 73% on Rotten Tomatoes.[137] David Wiegand of the San Francisco Chronicle stated, "The best thing about watching (viral videos) online is that you don't have to listen to Dyrdek's patter or the stellar contributions of his guests... the bigger danger is in watching the show in the first place: You might die of boredom. In other words, don't try this at home."[138]
International Versions
MTV France announced "Ridiculous: Made In France" March 29, 2016 on its website.[139] It is hosted by Jean-Baptiste GOUPIL and co-hosted by Jimmy Fait L'Con and Marie Palot.
The Brazilian version of the show, "Ridículos MTV", began on 7 June 2016 on MTV (Brazil).[140] This show is hosted by Felipe Titto and co-hosted by Ellen Milgrau and Hugo Gloss.
