• The culmination of a descent to a place where a person has nothing left to lose in terms of possessions, status, wealth and perhaps even shelter, food and warmth as a result of self-destructive behaviour. Alcohol and drug abuse are often contributing factors. References by musicians, companies and in movies (see below) could be an allusion to this.
• Any lowest point in life events, e.g. morale, depression, etc., not necessarily self-inflicted.
