State Route 10 is a south–north route from the Alabama state line in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the Kentucky state line in Macon County[1]
Route description
SR 10 begins at the Alabama state line in Lincoln County, where it is concurrent with US 231/US 431. The three routes travel northward until US 431 leaves the concurrency in Fayetteville. There, SR 10 intersects with US 64 as well. When SR 10 enters Moore County, it travels parallel to the border with Lincoln County along Chestnut Ridge. Once in Bedford County, the route crosses the Duck River and enters Shelbyville, where it has an intersection with US 41A. After passing Bomar Field, Shelbyville's airport, US 231/SR 10 head to Murfreesboro along a path that is almost completely straight. Soon after, SR 10 enters Wilson County and passes right through the middle of Cedars of Lebanon State Park. After going through Lebanon, US 231/SR 10 crosses the Cumberland River at Hunter's Point to enter Trousdale County. Near the small community of Walnut Grove, US 231 leaves the concurrency, and begins a concurrency with SR 25. East of Hartsville, SR 10 heads north into Macon County and ends at the Kentucky state line after passing through Lafayette.
