Sakura Angels is a 2015 visual novel developed by Winged Cloud and published by Sekai Project. It is a follow-up to 2014's Sakura Spirit. The game took the "first-person view" aspect. Pitched as an "angelic love comedy", the game's plot has two girls, blessed with magical powers, tasked with saving the protagonist from the clutches of a mysterious witch and ancient evil.[2][3] An update adding Japanese voice acting for the game was released on September 8, 2015.[4]
Characters
- Kenta - Kenta is the main protagonist in Sakura Angels, which the player portrays throughout the game. His first encounter with Sayaka and Hikari was when a dark monstrous being (which Sayaka and Hikari refer to as a "shadow" throughout the game) attacked Kenta on his way to school. He is described as a loner, his appearance wasn't shown throughout the game (although it was stated that he has black hair). He does not have any magical abilities whatsoever.
- Sayaka - Sayaka is one of Kenta's 'guardian angels', along with Hikari, and one of the female protagonists in Sakura Angels. She is described as a cheerful and clumsy girl. She has beige colored hair and green eyes. Her magical weapon is a bow, which can shoot arrows at high speeds. Voiced by: Ayano Yamamoto.
- Hikari - Hikari is also one of Kenta's 'guardian angels', along with Sayaka, and one of the female protagonists in Sakura Angels. She is described as a talk-less and (on occasions) shy girl. She has pink colored hair and purple eyes. Her magical weapon is a sword. Voiced by: Asami Sanada.
- Yuzuki - Yuzuki is the main antagonist in Sakura Angels. She also controls the "shadows" which try to kill Kenta throughout the game. She is described as a cynical and powerful girl. She has silver colored hair and bronze eyes. She has devastating powers and her ability to fly defies the laws of physics (as stated by Kenta). Voiced by: Misako Sekiguchi.
