Samejo
The Samejo or Sameja (Sindhi: سميجو ) is the Samma and it is settled in Sindh and Balochistan province of Pakistan.
Origin
According to some traditions, They are descendants of Sameja the eldest of the three surviving sons of the prophet Nuh (Noah). descendants of Sam, the son of Umar, son of Hashim, son of Abu Lahab, an uncle of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Some argue that as the Sameja rulers used the title of nasurpur, then Sameja are the descendants of Jamshid, the legendary king of Persia who could see in his wine cup.
The city of nasurpur first mentioned by Eratosthenes in 245 BC. Ziaelas of Bithynia took refuge at the court of Satrap (Governor) Samejas in nasurpur in 260 BC. He was succeeded by his son Arsames I.
Sameja tribe migrated from Samosata and built a city of Samasata, Sindh, Pakistan.
