Sara Beverley Jones (born c. 1985) is a British beauty pageant contestant, actress and model who was Miss Manchester 2009, being crowned at the Palace Hotel, Manchester. She was previously runner-up in the same competition in 2007.[2]

Personal

Born in Salford (1985) Greater Manchester, Jones attended Hope High School on Eccles Old Road, Salford where she got her first taste of acting on Coronation Street when the school was used as Weatherfield High on the popular soap opera.

She also appeared on Hollyoaks as an extra, before going onto wattend Pendleton College which was previously attended by the greats of Manchesters entertainment scene, such as Tony Wilson[3] and Ben Kingsley.[4] She went on to study at the University of Salford where she graduated in 2006 with an HND in Media and Performance.

She currently works as a club promoter whilst pursuing her career in acting through the Urban Talent Agency and ADF.[5] Her on-stage work includes productions at the Ben Kingsley[6] and Robert Powell theatres.

Sara's recent TV work includes a brief part in Coronation street spin off 'Just Rosie' in September 2011 aired on ITV2 and most recently was a contestant on ITV1 Dating show Take Me Out[7] hosted by Paddy Mcguiness in January 2012. Sara featured in shows 1-4 of Series 3 and was in the original 'flirty thirty' line up

Sara became a Sugarhut Honey for Michael Norcross and took part in Towie Series 7-8

Sara appeared on Soccer am and was a Bamma Belle, also a ring girl for sky sports Matchroom.

Sara Is a regular sports expert on Trace Sports stars Star Rated Programmes. In 2016 Sara opened her own agency sbj management providing ladies for ring girl duty at Bamma,Matcheoom and many more prestigious companies.

Controversy

In the early hours of November 1, 2009, Jones was assaulted by the then Miss England Rachel Christie who was arrested following an incident at Mansions nightclub in Manchester. Rachel Christie subsequently announced her withdrawal from the Miss World competition and relinquished her Miss England crown.[8] The crown was passed on to the runner-up in the 2009 pageant, Katrina Hodge.[9]
