Savage Night is a 1953 novel by the thriller writer Jim Thompson.[1][2]
Plot
Charles Bigger, wears glasses, false teeth, a toupée and platform shoes, operates under the alias Carl Bigelow, a college student. Bigger has been sent by a mob boss, known simply as The Man, to the small town of Peardale, New York. His mission is to avenge the mistakes of Jake Winroy, a former member of The Man's crime establishment.
