Sealdah-Ranaghat-Krishnanagar-Berhampore-Lalgola line

Sealdah Berhampore line is a railway line connecting the major town Berhampore (Murshidabad) with the entrance of Kolkata and one of the busiest station of India.

This railway line covers a 227 km long stretch from Sealdah to Lalgola. It is one of the oldest railway tracks in this division.

There are three express trains in this route: 13104/13103 Sealdah-Lalgola Bhagirathi Express, 13113/13114 Kolkata-Lalgola Hazarduari express and 13117/13118 Kolkata-Lalgola Dhanodhanya express.

The other passenger trains include Sealdah-Lalgola passengers,Sealdah-Berhampore Court MEMU passengers, Ranaghat Jn-Lalgola MEMU passengers. Currently up to Beldanga railway station track is doubled and from Lalgola to Jiaganj the track is doubled. The rest of the portion from Jiaganj to Beldanga, the work is in progress and is expected to start within next year. The work is going on in two phases that is from Jiaganj to Cossimbazar and from Cossimbazar to Beldanga.

A new bridge is constructed over river Bhagirathi after Murshidabad railway station connecting this line with the Azimganj Jn railway station of Malda division.
