Selasphorus is a genus of hummingbirds. It contains the following seven species:[1][2]
- Scintillant hummingbird, Selasphorus scintilla
- Glow-throated hummingbird, Selasphorus ardens
- Volcano hummingbird, Selasphorus flammula
- Broad-tailed hummingbird, Selasphorus platycercus
- Rufous hummingbird, Selasphorus rufus
- Allen's hummingbird, Selasphorus sasin
- Calliope hummingbird, Selasphorus calliope
The last species to be described was in 1870.
