Sheer Networks was a networking company founded in 1999. It was headquartered in San José, California, USA. Sheer's DNA (Dynamic Network Abstraction) solution for Network Management was marketed globally through direct sales, as well as through leading SI and VARs around the world. The Sheer DNA solution was a generic platform performing at all Network Management levels both as a Network management system and as an Element management system.
In 2005, Cisco Systems acquired Sheer Networks.
