Sid Blanks (born April 29, 1940) is a retired American college and professional football player. A halfback, he played college football at Texas A&I University, and played professionally in the American Football League for the Houston Oilers from 1964 through 1968. He also played for the Boston Patriots on the AFL in 1969, and the Patriots of the NFL in 1970. He was an AFL All-Star in 1964.
Blanks' son, Lance, is a former professional basketball player, former assistant general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and former general manager of the Phoenix Suns of the NBA.[1]
