Sorority Noise is an American emo band from Hartford, Connecticut. The band consists of members from the bands Old Gray and Prawn.[1]

History

Sorority Noise formed in 2013. They released their first cassette, titled Young Luck, in 2013 via Broken World Media.[2] In November 2014, the band released a split extended play with Somos.[3] In 2014, the band released their debut album, titled Forgettable, via Dog Knights Production and Broken World Media. Their sophomore LP titled Joy, Departed was released on June 16, 2015 via Topshelf Records.[4][5] On February 22, 2016, whilst at Nottingham's Rock City, the band announced the release of their next 7", titled It Kindly Stopped For Me, along with the release of the first song from the EP, titled "Either Way". Cam Boucher, vocalist for Sorority Noise, stated in a series of tweets that each of the four songs on It Kindly Stopped For Me is dedicated to a friend that he has lost and how while he was able to better his mental health, he struggled with finding ways to also help others around him. The EP was available on April 22. In October 2016, Sorority Noise released a split single with The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die titled "Leaf Ellis/Smoke & Felt" via Triple Crown Records.[6] Later in October, Boucher announced his own independent record label, Flower Girl.[7] Sorority Noise's album "Forgettable" was re-released on this label along with albums from Boucher's other band, Old Gray.[8]
