Stanley Kerr Bate

Stanley Chave Kerr Bate (born 1906) is a British architect.

He was born in 1906, the son of Commander Francis William Bate RNR, Surveyor Marine Dept, Board Of Trade, Chtahm and his wife Helen Maria Talbot Bate.[1]

Kerr Bate inherited the architectural practice of Frederick Walters.[2]

In 1953, a south aisle designed by Kerr Bate was added to the Church of St Anselm and St Cecilia, and the facade rebuilt, the original church built in 1909 having been designed by Walters.[3]

Stanley Kerr Bate of Walters & Kerr Bate was the architect for the Catholic church of St John of Arc, Highbury in London, built in 1960.[4]

Kerr Bate designed Holy Trinity, Otford, built from 1980.[2]
