Steinunn Kristin Thordardottir (Steinunn Kristín Þórðardóttir), born April 9, 1972 in Reykjavík, Iceland, is a Partner at Beringer Finance AS in Norway. Previously she was the Managing Director of Glitnir Bank in London, UK, and an alternate member of the board of Glitnir Bank ASA in Norway[1] and Glitnir Sjodir hf in Iceland.[2]

Steinunn sits on the Board of the Norwegian Icelandic Chamber of Commerce as well as the British Icelandic Chamber of Commerce.[3] Previously she has served on several boards in Europe.

Steinunn graduated with a BA in International Business and Politics from University of South Carolina in 1995 and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona in 1999.

Steinunn worked for Glitnir (then Islandsbanki) from 1995 to 1997 in Asset Management and the International Division in Reykjavik before moving abroad to become an associate for the Enron Corporation in the US and Europe.

Steinunn returned to Glitnir in Iceland in 2001 as Manager of the International Corporate Credit department where she later became Executive Director in August 2003.

In November 2005 Steinunn was appointed Managing Director of Glitnir Bank in the UK and South Europe, making her the first woman to manage an Icelandic financial institution abroad.[4]

Steinunn is married and lives in Norway.
