Steve Gainer

Steve Gainer, ASC ASK (born in Alexandria, Louisiana, October 25, 1962), is an American cinematographer and director and member of the American Society of Cinematographers, Directors Guild of America, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

His credits include American Girl, Sweet/Vicious, Everly, AWKWARD,Catch Hell, Super, Punisher: War Zone, Mysterious Skin, Bully, Dirty Girl, Movie 43, and A Haunted House . Since 1994 he has been director of photography on over 300 films, commercials, and music videos. In 2013 and 2015, he directed episodes of the MTV comedy-drama series Awkward.^[1]

He has been married to Karen Gainer since January 22, 2000. They have two children.
