Streptomyces ipomoeae is a bacterium species from the genus of Streptomyces which has beein isolated from rot from potatoes.[1][3][4][5] Streptomyces ipomoeae produces thaxtomin C and ipomycin.[6][7] Streptomyces ipomoeae can cause soft rot disease on sweet potatoes.[8][9][10]
