Talya
Talya is a village (hobli) in the Holalkere taluk near Chitradurga district, Karnataka State, India.
The main attraction of this place is an old temple of Lord Hanuman. According to historical sources, this is a very old temple that has the entire story of Ramayana carved near the tail portion of the Lord Hanuman's idol.
Another attraction of this place is the big lake which is the main source of water for irrigating the arecanut farms in and surrounding the village.
In modern times, lunch homes and marriage halls have been built to conduct religious ceremonies.
Every year in April, "Mullaavige" (wodden sandals with iron nails) and "Theru" (Procession of God on a wooden chariot) take place here as well. Devotees from neighbouring villages and districts gather to witness the event.
