Tapeswaram is a village in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. The temple of Lord Shiva in Tapeswaram has a great importance like Lord Vishwanath Temple in Kashi (Varanasi).
Culture
The place is famous for making the largest individual laddu, and offer it to Lord Ganesh during Ganesh festival. In 2016, a 29,465 kg of laddu was prepared for a 78-foot tall Ganesh idol at Gajuwaka.[1]
It is also well known for a sweet delicacy called Tapeswaram Kaja.
