The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Olinda e Recife (Latin: Archidioecesis Olindensis et Recifensis) is an archdiocese located in the cities of Olinda and Recife in Brazil.
History
- 1614: Established as Territorial Prelature of Pernambuco from the Diocese of São Salvador da Bahia de Todos os Santos
- 11 November 1676: Promoted as Diocese of Olinda
- 5 December 1910: Promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Olinda
- 26 July 1918: Renamed as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Olinda e Recife
